The rendezvous hotel was a prime location for honeymooners, business tycoons and families on vacation. It also held the opportunity to hide anyone who was shady or had some reason amongst many to hide away. It was not a great idea for Tate to go sleeping at the Rusty Inn while he was healing and there was no other place he knew in town which had a decent gym and pool facility for training and recuperation. He was into the fourth day stay of weeks booking, well and truly enough time to allow his wounds to heal to the point where he would be able to go back to the normal routines without being exposed to potential attack in the usual hauntings he occupied. That was the main lesson about Tate's lifestyle, trust no one.

The hotel room was a standard run of the mill King size suite, nothing too flashy or over the top. He had paid out for internet and room service but that was about the limit too keep him flying below the radar as compared to some of the other occupants in the hotel. Half a week before hand he had walked in looking tired, his neck covered in strips of gauze tape which covered stitch work. After the encounter with Eclipse in Glisan Forrest he had traveled back to Muchani City, stopping at the rusty inn where he had been staying to pick up some clothes. he had waited for an opportunity to sneak through the back still in wolf form and how he had managed to void detection even Tate couldn't understand. He was lucky to have left his door unlocked and giving it a good thwack with his hind legs he gained access to the room, nuzzling the door closed before stopping in the middle of the room. His wounds had slowed in bleeding but he knew the shift would do more damage. Just how much he would not be to tell but all he could do was make sure he had immediate access to clothes and a phone if it was a case of bleeding out.

The shift was more painful then it usually would have been, sensitive exposed flesh of his neck tearing as bones reshaped and morphed. fresh blood slid from the wound and he was fairly certain that although there was a lot from the wound he had fortunately missed severing an artery. Taking in steady breaths he took a moment to stand up from the floor, sucking in air as he did what he had always been trained to do by Hector, suck it up and embrace the pain. He walked to where his sofa was currently pulled out into a bed, picking up the jeans he had left on there and stepping into them, pulling them up and zipping them before he grabbed a muscle shirt, being careful in sliding his arm on the side of his neck wound into the arm hole of the shirt before lifting the remainder over his head. He grimaced as he walked over to grab his wallet, phone and keys, pocketing them before using a pocketknife from the coffee table to cut and tear some holes into the shirt all in the name of selling the story. Once this was done he snuck out of the pub the same way he had come in, using a hand to cover the wound on his neck while he summoned the stamina to jog to the local hospital.

He had later stumbled through the emergency doors of the local hospital, the hand still clasped over his neck wound and blood stains over his hands and clothes, giving the triage nurse a blank look as though he was in shock. In reality he was fine, the elevated heart rate was simply from jogging and his physical response to dealing with the pain whilst the blank stare was simply him calmly dealing with the situation.
"attacked....massive dog..." he muttered whilst the triage nurse had hurriedly rushed to grab a doctor.

A plastic surgeon who dealt with wounds, burns and skin grafting rather then the stereotypical boob jobs had seen to the re-grafting of the skin over Tate's neck, performing a short surgical process to repair most of the damage which had been caused during the fight. It had led to a score of stitches and tape but Tate was able to get release a couple of days later albeit against the advice of the medical staff. He had booked the hotel room, figuring that he could take time out, purchase some new clothes since he had to tear his others up and pick up on training.

reapplying a fresh strip of tape over his stitches and chucking on a pair of training sweatpants he scoured his gym bag for a tank, shoving on one which smelt the cleanest before heading out of his room, pocketing the room card and stepping into the elevator to head to the gym.

There were many places she could go, being by herself she had no one else to stop her from doing anything she wished. A soft, slightly exasperated sigh left her lips as she stepped through the doors of the Rendezvous. The scents around her made her nose wrinkle slightly. Expensive perfumes and colognes. A shake of her head, and she headed to the reception desk. "One room please. Twin bed, no bells or whistles. Something simple." She said, and a few moments later paid, and had a room key in hand. People walked all around her, and it made her skin prickle. They didn't know her, or what she was and she liked it that way.

A turn, and the elevator doors opened. Small feet moved swift but lazy over the floor and she boarded the box that moved between floors. Once to her floor, she made her way to her room to let go what little belongings she had with her. For she traveled light. Her room was indeed simple. A bed, a dresser and a little coffee pot on top. Sculpted brows raised slightly and she tossed her small bag onto her bed. With a turn she was gone again. She had come to let off some steam. This seemed like a good place to do it. Having on Capri yoga pants, and a race back tank she stepped back into the elevator going down to the gym. Thick hair tied into a messy bun on her head, two small ear buds in her ears.

The doors opened once more with a soft 'ding', and she was at the gym level. Never once did she look up at anyone, but every scent around her gave her all the information she needed. The smell of sex on the elevator was almost overwhelming and she couldn't wait to get off of it. Hurriedly she made her way to the gym to take a deep breath. Only to be bombarded with the smell of sweat and machines. Her stomach turned slightly, and she pushed away the urge to throw up right then and there. Clicking the small button on her IPod, Volbeat began to play. Adrenaline, and energy surged through her body and she even cracked a smile. The boxing bag before her she began to bounce from foot to foot. She was by no means a fighter, but this... this she found relaxing. Her hands balled into fists, she began series of punches to warm up. Loosening her tight and stressed muscles she began to feel warmer. Adding kicks to the bag, each landed with a hard sound. The sand inside absorbed each blow and the bag started to swing with each hit she landed. Now within her own world she released all her pent up energies out onto the bag. Growls and soft shouts would escape her as she relaxed in exercise.

Stepping into the lift Tate glanced at the illuminated button for the ground floor, an older couple patiently waiting inside the elevator already as he had gotten on. He pushed the doors closing button to hurry the process along and soon enough the elevator began its descent. It paused again on the fifteenth floor to allow a middle aged business man who evidently seemed to be heading to a meeting in before the doors closed once more. He had looked rather disapprovingly down his nose at Tate who couldn't have cared less about what someone else though; simply smirked as though he knew something the man did not. The lift jolted back into life, taking the occupants to the ground floor where the doors slid open to reveal the lobby.

He walked through the area casually, in no rush as opposed to the suited business man who had rushed to catch his taxi. wandering over to another set of lifts which led up multiple floors but also provided access to the gym, pool and sauna facilities, he pressed the button and waited once more until the doors opened before heading down to the next level.

He pressed a hand against his chest as he let out a burp, the sound of the lift having reached the right level ringing out before the doors opened. Tate could feel the air surprisingly more dense as he wandered out of the lift though it was easily explained by the fact that there was an indoor pool next to the gym. There was the wafting scent of chlorine which always gave the nostalgic reminder of swimming lessons to some and headaches to Tate. The humidity meant a thin sheen would layer over his skin in due course, doubled when he would begin training. His towel hung loose over his left shoulder as Tate walked past the gym centre reception and into the main room, walking straight through the middle to the other side where the change room and lockers were located. He had arranged his locker a few days beforehand, figuring if he was going to be there all week then he might as well take a key for the extent of time. Pushing the key into the lock and twisting it he opened the locker, pulling out the empty bottle and shutting it again. he paused by the fountains on the way out and filled the bottle with icy cold water, screwing the lid back on before heading into the main room where there were a few people in but thankfully the place wasn't too overcrowded.

There were the usual twats, gym junk heads as Will had called them once upon a time and a couple of older women busily exercising their mouths as they walked at a slow pace on the treadmills beside him. It always irritated him that people would openly do that, take up an opportunity someone else could use a lot better and act offended when told the facts plainly. Though today he wasn't interested in causing too much trouble, just a warm up, train and warm down. A small growl caught his attention as he walked up onto the treadmill, punching his thumb onto the keypad in front of him to churn the treadmill into life. The growl came again and his eyes spotted a woman of slim stature giving a drop bag a decent beating. perhaps it was a health kick but even then, the shouts and growls which came from the pint sized babe were somewhat aggressive in an ambitious way. he assumed she was beating the imagined face of an ex lover and it prompted a small smile and chuckle. As the belt of the treadmill began to move slowly beneath his feet he pushed the speed key to hurry it up, soon settling into a medium pace, lengthening his stride so that he was slowly jogging to warm his muscles as he watched the occupants of the gym do the same.

All of the hits ended in a climactic rush. Her ears pinned against her head she had her back to the bag. A crouch and she jumped and turned. The side of her right foot came in contact with the bag and she growled into a shout. The bag swung hard, clinking the chain ravenously at the top of it's hanger. The sweating female, looked at the bag with narrowed eyes. Man she had missed how it felt to exert her body.

Her chest moved moderately as she wiped her mouth with her wrapped hand. The waist line of her yoga shorts rested below her belly button. Her race back top clung to her frame. She spied a guy watching her on a treadmill. A subtle smirk hit her lips as she sauntered by. She eyed him brazenly and then continued on to where the pool was. In the locker room she changed into her bathing suit. The small black bikini covered just enough as she walked down the steps and into the heated pool. The water just cold enough to be refreshing, but not too cold to where she shivered. Her eyes closed and she pinned her ears down to go under water. She came back up at the other side of the pool and ran her hands over her hair to smooth it back. A sigh and she rested against the side of the pool.

The gym always seemed to have a steady stream of music playing over the speakers, beats programmed onto the system which would make working out all the more easier. The bass beats were good for reps but the higher, rapid tones were the mark as Tate had pressed into a sprint, using the tempo as encouragement to take short bursts of running paces. Sweat had begun to build a thin sheen over his skin whilst all the while he took pleasure in watching the chick swing fists and feet against the bag across the room. The ears were unusual but most around them seemed to keep quiet about it. He wondered if they had been a simple accessory before they had twitched and flexed back, flattening in typical reflection of the bearer's mood. His lips moved, a smirk on his face as he watched her stop before proceeding to saunter pass and lay her own gaze over him. At least she wasn't trying to hide it. He smiled before shaking his head with a silent chuckle, looking back down to the timer on the treadmill and tightening his core and quads, pushing his legs to dig in as he quickened his pace for the next sprint.

There was a set number of routines Tate knew off by heart by now, all drummed into his brain over the years of training under Hector. The old prick was irritating to say the least but he knew the sport and was one hell of a fighter in his own day. So as much as Tate had spent time being pissed off by the old codger he appreciated the man for his mentoring. As he rounded off one last sprint he slowed the treadmill to a stop, halfheartedly seizing the towel and water bottle as he headed over to where some miscellaneous equipment was stored. There were mats, medicine balls, kettlebells, a large range of dumbbells of varying weights, ropes, bags and pads. Taking a skipping rope from one of the boxes up on a large display cupboard he wandered into the open space towards the centre of the gym, placing the water and towel down before rotating his shoulders and stretching his neck gently, gripping the handles of either side before beginning to send the rope over his head, commencing with a strong but steady set bounce. Each rotation sent through had Tate bouncing on the balls of his feet, seemingly effortless but one of the best cardiac exercises he employed. He kept his arms firm only to limit the strain where his stitches remained. They were a hindrance but he made do regardless, using single foot bounces with alternation in between to start with.

A shake of her head flung loose the water that had clung to her hair and ears. The water was nice, and it felt good on her skin. She liked the salt water pools better then the chlorine ones anyway. With a breath she pinned her ears back and sank under water. Muscles rippled and flexed as she began to work laps. Legs kicked, and arms moved one at a time to propel her through the water. She was swift in the water, and pushed herself to be faster. Her head turned every third stroke or so to take in a short swift breath of air.

Muscles burned and complained at her as she worked them through swimming. Each time she would reach the edge of the pool she would flip, and push off with her feet. Aulan continued this until her muscles ached and were fatigued. At the end of the pool she came out of the water with a gasp and a chuckle. Her legs shook and felt like jelly as she exited the pool and headed for the hot tub. Relaxing she sank into the heated water with relish. Her ears relaxed she flicked the water from them and closed her eyes. Her arms rested at her sides as she let the heat of the water do it's work. She would be sore tomorrow, but it was worth it. An eye open she looked into the gym, a thin brow raised in a curiosity as she thought about the man on the tread mill. A shake of her head and she laughed to herself. Closing her eyes once more she let out a long sigh, relaxing in the quiet of the room.
